I LOVE this song! It's been around awhile, but I just love the word picture it portrays. It's so worshipful for me. I listened to it tonight after the kids finally were both asleep...and it just really puts things into perspective for me. I just sat there with my eyes closed....thinking. God I love you so much, and I want my life to reflect that. I need so much to be with the Lord to be filled, renewed, encouraged...I mean really to have all my needs met. Tonight as I was listening, I wasn't really upset, sad, frustrated, or anything like that, it just felt really good to listen, knowing that God is right there....and he loves me, and I'm his child. I'm so glad I'm his child, and he is the father that he is. There is so much joy in know who God is, and I'm glad I know Him.
So, this song is on my playlist, the first song.....so close your eyes, and just listen for a minute or two.

2 Cute Kids...2 First Haircuts!
Hannah thinking...ok mom not too sure I really want to get my haircut.
Getting progressively whinier....she kept saying "I don't want to get my haircut"..I think we were almost finished at this point.
Hannah and Brandy (hair lady in Karnes City)
Anything for him to play with to make this an easier situation.
We even resorted to M&M's...first haircut deserves his first M&M (notice m&m on his chin). He really did better toward the end of his haircut.
First time for everything
Earlier this month I took Hannah to a pediatric dentist to get her teeth cleaned for the first time. She did SO SO good. She was basically back there all by herself. They took x-rays, cleaned, polished, and Dr. Bill got to look in her mouth. Such a big girl. I made the staff take a pic of my big girl. I love the glasses she got to wear during the cleaning. She loved it. She goes back in 6mos so we can evaluate and see what we want to do about the thumb sucking. She LOVES her thumb!!!

Then there is the first haircut for both my kiddos! I couldn't get all the pics in one post, so check out the following post as well. It actually went pretty well. My friend Rosemary went with me to take pictures and watch the kids in case we had a crisis. We saved both kids hair in ziplock bags for their baby book.

Caleb not sure what is about to happen.

He's pretty sure he's not liking this experience.

My very SLEEPY but very big boy at the end of his cut.

Me and Hannah...she was pretty excited about all this at first. She made Caleb go first, so she could think about it a little longer.

More Water Fun!
This is in Karnes City at their small water park. They have fountains that shoot water up from the ground, buckets that dump water on your head etc. It is free and definitely worth a trip since it's been 100 degrees outside lately. Hannah loves it.
Just so cute, once again, he is NOT afraid of the water. This is at the Karnes City water park.
This is at Splashway, we went with a group of kids from the church. Our whole family went and it was tons of fun. This park is about 1.5hrs from Kenedy, but such a neat place. Small enough no one can get lost, but they have everything you need. Caleb played with this whale that squirted up water through it's spout. He could have stayed here all day long.
Me and the kids.
I thought I turned this picture upright, but I guess not. She LOVED this slide. Seriously she slid down probably 100 times. I'm so glad she had a good time.
Port Aransas!
Picture says it all. Caleb LOVED the beach. He crawled all over the place. He loved to go into the waves, we had to keep turning him around. He screamed when we picked him up, and as soon as we set him down, he was all smiles.
Loves the water.
Hannah, lets just says she a "pool" girl. Not too fond of the beach. She didn't like the sand on her hands because it was messy. Such a girl..and it's so crazy, I didn't teach my kids to be certain way. In this pic, she has her tube and is headed to the pool with Me-Maw and Paw-Paw.
Such a sweet face, I love this picture.

We fed the seagulls on the beach, they actually ate out of our hands at times. It was neat. Hannah was a little unsure at first...she just threw the "cheesy popcorn" at the birds.

What do you think??
So I'm making progress. My blog has a new look. Do you like it? I'm not sure how to make the bars with the kids ages at the top look a little better...but it's not bad. Anyway, supposedly a lot of people use this site to create "cute blogs". It was free and I didn't have to re-do any entires/widgits/ address of blogs I read/ etc. So check it out if you want a new look. I went to www.thecutestblogontheblock.com
Let me know what you think.

Music!
Hello blog readers. So I now have music on my blog, so I'm sure it's much more exciting to read now. Actually music makes everything better. Anyway, these are 2 songs that I love, about daughters, and children. However, I would like some input on other good songs about children. Any suggestions. Leave a comment!

Special Moments
The other night I was putting Caleb to bed. Lately the routine goes something like this. If it's me by myself putting the kids to bed: I get everyone in their jammies, brush teeth, and then Hannah gets on her bed in her room and looks at books while I put Caleb to bed. I've been nursing him still at night, but it really doesn't put him to sleep anymore...so now I'm down to just nursing him once a day in the morning. I'm sure that will phase out too...but I have thoroughly enjoyed nursing him...I just like that its something only I can do, and he is just so peaceful and relaxed, that is blesses my heart. I just remember when he was born thinking, how is this gonna work...he's in the ICU, on a ventilator, they wouldn't let him eat anything or have anything by mouth for 2 days, he had a tube down his nose into his stomach, IV's on both hands..I thought, this is comforting. I was in pain from my c-section, and I thought, this may not be such a peaceful thing for Caleb under these circumstances.
Anyway, so back to putting Caleb to sleep (maybe i'm still a little nostalgic reflecting over the past year). I had nursed him, prayed, sang, read stories, and he still wouldn't go to sleep. I put him in his bed and he just cried. We haven't figured what we're gonna do with him to get him to sleep just yet. At this point with Hannah she had already "cried it out"...so with him we're deciding still what to do. Anyway..so after picking him up....we rocked in the rocking chair in his room. I'm cradling him in my left arm as he is wrapped up in his blanket. He is sucking on his first 2 fingers of his right hand, and twirling my hair with his left, his blanket is on his face. He goes from holding his blanket, to touching my hair. I'm singing all the songs I know...Jesus loves Me, God is so good, Turn you eyes upon Jesus, Jesus name above all names. Caleb was totally and completely relaxed, content, calm, and totally still in this moment, just staring with his blinks getting slower and longer. I thought, I'm tired and would like to go to bed, but I held him a little longer, rocked some more, stroked his hair, patted his face, and rocked and rocked until he went to sleep.
I just was so thankful to God for moments like that. I'm so thankful for my little boy, who isn't so much of a baby anymore.
After Caleb went to sleep, I went into Hannah's room...where she was patiently waiting with her pink blanket and her book for me to put her to bed. She is such a good girl. She was quiet, and waited for me to come to her. So then I got to experience this all over again. We rocked (I recently put a rocking chair in her room too), read stories, sang and said prayers. I asked her if there was anything special she wanted to pray for tonight...she said she wanted to pray that Caleb would sleep good tonight. She really is a thoughtful little girl..I love that about her. What a blessing children can be, I'm so thankful for what God has given me.

Happy Birthday Caleb!
Today is my baby boy's birthday! Yesterday we had a birthday party here at the house. He even had some of his little friends from church come over to share in the excitement. We had sandwiches, cupcakes and opened presents. His favorite part was by far the cupcake. It was so funny...as you can tell from the video, he was so excited to see the candle I think...his eyes kept getting bigger and bigger. We didn't capture the actual "craming the cupcake" in his mouth on video but we did get pictures. Seriously he grabbed the cupcake and immediately icing first put the whole thing in his mouth, then he got both hands and was squishing and trying to eat all the cupcake at once. The whole thing was gone in liike 30 seconds. I was remembering from Hannah's first birthday, how she delicately put one finger in the icing, and then was shaking her hand to get it off...she did not like to be messy. I think Caleb is ALL boy, and will like making a mess.
On another note...I was reminiscing about all that I went through before Caleb was born. Starting at 28 weeks, I had bleeding complications. We moved to a new town at 29 weeks, and I was admitted to the hospital only after 3 weeks of being in Monahans. I was on bedrest for 32 days in the hospital, and I had IV's the whole time, and I kept bleeding and they were transferring me back and forth to and from Labor and Delivery trying to decide if I was going to have a baby then or not. I had so many ultrasounds, an amniocentesis, and lab work done every 3 days. Finally on July 20th at 9:09 pm Caleb arrived via c-section, after a day of more bleeding, contracting (without me knowing it), and an irregular stress test. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck twice, and it was just time for him to come into the world. He went to the NICU for 5 days and then joined me, Jeremy and Hannah at home. Praise the Lord for my sweet baby boy, Caleb.
I was so thankful to have a healthy baby, and to not be pregnant at that point anymore. God has blessed our family, and I love my children so much. So reflecting over this past year, I feel like I've been more sentimental for some reason. I'm not crying, but it's hard to believe that this first year is finished. Caleb is so much of a Mama's boy, he loves everyone else, but he really wants to cling to me. I'm still nursing him, I'm actually trying to wean him at this point. There are just a lot of things that are leading to his independence as a little toddler in the days ahead. He drinks real milk from a sippy cup, eats real food, obviously loves cupcakes, he sits forward in the car now (he doesn't even scream anymore when I strap him in his seat). He's just growing up.
I'm so glad my children are growing up and learning new things. I just pray that God will give us wisdom as we teach our special little ones the truths of God. Hopefully we will have many more days and events to celebrate together as a family!
SEAWORLD!
We had so much fun at seaworld. It was hot, but we had a good time. Here are just a few pics.

Hannah and Caleb waiting to feed the dolphins. They loved this part. They're weren't scared at all.

Look closely, Hannah is holding a real dead fish in her little hand so she can put it in the dolphins mouth. She was so brave, I had to help just a little because she couldn't really reach his mouth. Such a big girl!

Shamu show. We went twice because we liked it so much.

First at home Haircut!
I know, I know, you read the title and thought....CALEB got a haircut. NO WAY. My baby boy still has his beautiful blonde hair. This time, it was daddy's turn. I was privileged and honored (I think) to be able to cut Jeremy's hair. We're not real sure where to get haircuts around here, so we bought one of those "At Home Kits". After watching a "HOW TO DVD", that was taped back in the 80's (yes it came with the kit). We started on the adventure. Jeremy's parents were here, so they took the pictures for us. We cut his hair in the middle of the kitchen because it was 11pm when we started. It took a LONG time. So below are some pics.

Before, Jeremy is so trusting.

Half way done, we're doing good so far. We didn't really get an after shot, but believe me it DOES look good. It was after midnight, and we were tired, and a little bit stressed out at this point. Atleast I was. So you'll just have to take my word for it.

Pictures as Promised
First let me say, sorry about no pics sooner. Seriously my computer must have a REALLY slow connection lately or something. Anyway, I tried to post several yesterday and after 15min of waiting for "blogger to upload" I turned it off. Not too patient with that sort of thing. So here you go.

Our new furniture, we just love it, and the couches are turning into wonderful nap couches!

Clopton Family Reunion....well atleast I was posing, not so much for the kids. Jeremy was taking the picture, I didn't get a whole family pic on our camera. Maybe if someone out there has one they'll send it to me.

Mmm..which note is it? Starting early, he loves to play the piano!

They're playing a duet. Thats the only way Hannah would let Caleb stay on the seat while she "practiced for church". She plays and sings really loud at the same time. She sings "Jesus Loves Me", and now lately it's "Mighty to Save"...one of our worship songs we play and sing with the youth.

I'm Still Here...
Hello once again....yes I'm still here, we've just been busy. Lets see, whats gone on since my last post. Well some exciting things (atleast for us)..we got new furniture. We haven't had ANY new furniture in the 5.5yrs that we have been married. Well, except the $100 dollar kitchen table we got at IKEA a long time ago, and it now has divets in it from Hannah eating at the table. I digress...our furniture is BEAUTIFUL. We got a sectional that consists of 2 couches, and a wedge piece. A recliner, and a coffee table (one where the top raises up so you can eat while you sit on the couch! Pictures to come soon.
We went to Waco for several days around the 4th of July. We had a family reunion that has been held every year the weekend of the 4th for as long as I can remember. It's pretty cool....I was thinking, I remember being there when I was probably 10yrs old, and this September..ONLY 2 MONTHS...I will be 30 years old. THIRTY! I can't believe that. I don't feel thirty. Anyway, the reunion was fun. There were LOTS of babies there this year, it's just neat because the generations just keep on going.
Most recently we've had a fun weekend. Jeremy's parents came for a visit, and we were busy the whole time it seemed. We had a youth fellowship/swim party friday night...they watched the kids for us while we were gone. So does that kinda count as a date even though we're surrounded by youth kids? Then on Saturday we went to Coleto Creek which is towards Victoria....it was SO MUCH FUN. We swam in the lake, cooked out, water skiied, tubed, Hannah even rode in a ski boat. Some friends from church all went, several are young couples that have little babies so it was fun to connect with different people. Sunday we had church things, and we had an all youth fellowship at our house that night. This was the first time all the youth had been at our house. It was fun, we had hot fudge Sundaes, played a game, then I got to play guitar while we sang some songs. The kids loved it (our kids). Atleast Hannah did, she feels so big, and there is always someone to play with. Poor thing, she doesn't have any friends her age, they're all teenagers and these are the people she wants to play with. Hopefully we'll find some younger ones soon.
Tuesday we had a mini vacation to Seaworld. It was really fun. It was a long day, but we saw some shows, Hannah even held out a little fish by herself for the dolphins to eat...she wasn't scared at ALL!! We made it to the "Lost Lagoon" water park around 4pm, which was a LIFESAVER. It was so hot. The kids loved the water Hannah was all over the place, she was jumping waves in the wavepool. We all rode the lazy river together. I sat in the tube, held Caleb in my lap. They both wore little tiny life jackets..it was pretty cute.
Ok, there you go, sorry it got kinda long, and not even any pictures. I'll post some pics soon.

First Train Ride
So Hannah has always been fascinated with trains. Last weekend we went to the San Antonio Zoo (just the train part) and the whole family got to ride. Hannah thought it was great until the whistle started blowing, then of course like lots of other sounds to her it was TOO LOUD! After awhile she finallly took her hands off her ears. I thought this was a very accurate picture of how most of the ride went.
Jeremy and Caleb on the train.
Me with the kids after the train ride. It was VERY HOT outside.

Pictures!
Hannah's very first tee-tee in the potty! We were SO excited...from then on, she loved to go in the potty. Now we're actually just on the big potty, no more little pink potty.
The kids first bath together...it was actually really late and I was like whatever it takes to get them both clean and in bed ASAP.
This speaks for itself. I had RED polish out to pain Hannah's toenails, I go to the other room and come back, she is quietly sitting on the couch smiling at me.....I run over to her and carry her to the bathroom, after I scolded her to NEVER open the polish, I had to take a picture before I cleaned her up. She didn't get one drop on the couch or the floor...whew!
This was Calebs first time swimming and first time in a BIG pool. We were at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Waco. He absolutley LOVED it. Hannah was still kinda unsure, she just wanted to sit on the step and watch everyone.

Hannah's Prayers
Ever since Hannah was born, I pray for her every day. At night I always pray basically the same thing, goes something like this:
Dear God, thank you for my sweet Hannah, I pray she knows she is a treasure and a blessing and we love her very much. I pray she would sleep good tonight, have peace and rest all night long. I pray you keep her healthy and well. I pray for her salvation and that she would come to know you at an early age, and that she would be able to understand the spirit of God early on. Give us wisdom as we teach and train her in the way of the Lord. I pray these things in Jesus Name Amen.
So sometimes now at bedtime I ask her if she wants to pray. We've been talking about how when we pray we talk to God and he helps us, and how he just likes to hear us talk to him. So last night this is what she prayed:
Dear God, thank for my boo-boo and help it get better, give me peace and I pray at an early age, Jesus Name Amen.
So precious....she's getting the hang of things. I just thought that was pretty sweet.

While Daddy's at Camp..Part 2......
I was so glad to have mom here....serioulsy she was a life saver. So to continue....mom came Wednesday night. Caleb woke up a couple times during the night....once again, I gave tylenol and nursed him. Seriously, his tooth is right there....I can see it, it just hasn't broken the skin yet...poor kid.
THURSDAY was ok....no more throwing up for Hannah, this time just diarrhea. She was still eating and drinking, and pottying....but we have put the panties on HOLD for right now. Sweet kid....she makes it to the potty most times, but with this little inconvenience, we decided that pull-ups were DEFINITELY the way to go. I'm not chancing any major accidents with this one.
So for something kinda fun....we had gotten a little swimming pool from Wal-Mart, put it in the front yard and let the kids swim. So cute!! I"ll definitely put pics up soon....except I think Jeremy has the cable I need to put pics on the computer with him at camp, so it will have to wait until the weekend. Hannah played, she kinda thought it was just like the bath tub. Caleb liked it, but he kept reaching over the side to eat the grass and leaves from the yard. Then he wanted to lay down on his stomach and scoot around.....so he didn't last too long in the pool.
Thursday night....poor little Caleb....so fussy, not wanting to sleep, pulling at his ears, low grade temp, I'm thinking NO WAY does he have an ear infection. We don't even have any doctors around here yet.
So FRIDAY I call my friend who is a nurse and she has a little girl that is 8mos old....I'm trying to find out who some good docs are around here.....she informs me that her little girl has been SO sick with stomach stuff, dehydration, they've been to the hospital with IV"s etc....she got sick the same time Hannah did. I'm praying oh, I hope Hannah's bug is minor and that this isn't gonna be a wide-spread virus throughout the church. It's so hard when little babies get that....they can get so sick so fast.
Anyway...we find a local doc in town....to go to a pediatrician you have to go to San Antonio or Victoria mainly...nothing in Kenedy. Anyway we went to a super, super nice doctor here.....I'm thinking we may all just use this guy for basic stuff, and use the pediatrician for like well-check-ups to get all the major stuff checked out. Anyway he checks Caleb out....NO ear infection. He is perfectly healthy.....just having a TERRIBLE time with teething. I don't remember Hannah having this hard of a time. Hopefully the nights will get better.
SATURDAY...DADDY CAME HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were all so excited to see him. My mom stayed until the very end...what a huge blessing. She stayed at home while the kids napped and I could go help unload and clean up stuff at the chuch after all the youth left to help out a little bit. Hannah is still having diarrhea....this is like day 4, so hopefully it will be over soon. Caleb slept all night last night...YEAH.
All in all this was the busiest week I've had in a LONG time. The Lord really does sustain you even at times when life just kinda stinks, it's not fun, you're not sleeping, and you miss your husband. So I know that some of these things are really minor compared with a lot of people problems and troubles....so I'm trying not to complain too much, just sharing the facts. I really have been very blessed and have a wonderful family. I have a great husband, wonderful parents, wonderful in-laws, and I really do love my life....there are just often bumps in the road that make life just a little inconvenient at times.

While Daddy's at Camp....
MONDAY:
The kids and I are surviving on our own for a few days. The youth left for camp on Monday morning and the get back on Saturday. I thought I can handle this for a few days....mom comes on Wednesday night to stay for a few days, so until then we're great. Monday was good, we went swimming at a friends house, Hannah would rather sit around the OUTSIDE of the pool and just watch. She really isn't crazy about the water, while Caleb loved it....he splashed and splashed in his water toy. We came home, everyone had baths, ate dinner, and off to bed. It was a little weird because you know you just hear more noises than usual at night. I wasn't really scared....I just decided that I really like having Jeremy around.
TUESDAY:
We wake up, the kids slept all night (monday)...with the few exceptions of Hannah trying to get up and go potty during the night. So we get up to go get Caleb around 8am and Hannah is on the floor trying to get a book from under his bed, somehow the door to Caleb's closet fell off and landed on her finger and kind of on top of her. She's screaming, I pick her up, quickly assess to see where the injuries are, is there any blood...you know the motherly look over. I notice her 3rd and 4th fingers on her right hand are red, kinda bleeding, and getting bigger. I thought...oh my goodness did she break her fingers. I call the pastors wife to see who and where a doctor is just in case. I call the Family Practice Clinic, the doc is out of town, and they have a temporary one coming in at 2pm, and they don't do x-rays in the office.
So I'm deciding....do I just watch it, put ice and elevate it.....yeah right for a 2yr old whose attention span is like 10seconds....finally I make a decision we're going to the ER. I load up the kids and off we go......I couldn't find anyone to watch Caleb, so he's joining us. Actually the ER visit was very nice....I think we were the only ones there. We were in and out in 1hr. Hannah let the doctor look at her hand, and she even got 3 x-rays ALL BY HERSELF in the x-ray room. I wa holding Caleb peeking at her through a door....such a big girl. Conclusion...no broken fingers....just really bruised and swollen. So who knows how much the tab will be for that one. Our co-pay is $100, so we'll see how that goes.
Back to the house....its a normal day the rest of the afternoon. We eat dinner at a couples house from the church. That night I put the kids to bed....and I'm ready to sleep. This is how the night went:
12am......Caleb is screaming. I think he has another tooth coming through....I give him tylenol, nurse him (anything at this
point to make him go to sleep), put him back to bed. Hannah stayed asleep through the whole thing.
1am........I get back in bed.
3am........Hannah wakes up, she says she has to potty. We go sit, nothing. I change her diaper because it's soaked.
3:15am...Hannah back in bed.
4am........I hear footsteps in the kitchen...I get up and Hannah is there, so I decide she can just sleep with me, I go get her
pillow and blanket, come back to the kitchen and she THROWS UP all over the floor. You've got to be KIDDING ME!!
This can't really be happening. I clean the floor, put towels down in our bed with a basin, and tuck Hannah in. I told
her if she needs to throw up again please use the pink bucket, not my bed.
4:30........Caleb screaming again. Give more tylenol, nurse him (once again I NEED SLEEP), back to bed.
6:15am...Hannah wake up (in bed with me) she grabs her pink bucket and is sitting there. I said, "Are you ok, are you gonna
throw up", "Yes mommy"....she then very neatly throws up in the pink bucket. I clean it out, wipe her face, give
water, and she goes back to sleep.
7:00.......Caleb awake and ready to start the day.
Whew....we made it. Seriously I'm functioning in survival mode, and was so glad that mom was coming Wednesday night for a few days. Hannah is ok, I think she just has a minor stomach bug. Now through the whole night...really I was ok, I had prayed so much for me to have peace and to be able to handle anything that happens....maybe the Lord was testing us.
WESNESDAY:
Nothing major happened.....Hannah had a few episodes of diarrhea....I thought has is this going to work with the whole potty training thing....she made it to the potty which I am SO thankful for. We went to Wal-Mart got some groceries and stayed at home. Mom made it by about 8:30pm and we put the kids to bed.
I'll be ready for Jeremy to come home and he can once again share in these wonderful life experiences. Seriously they are having a good time at camp...it's been a good week for him to get to know the youth more. Next year, hopefully I'll be there with them.

Potty Training Update
Well, time for a little update. Hannah is doing wonderfully. She has been in big girl panties for like 4 days now. We even drove to Waco on Saturday and she wore panties for the trip. The pink potty was in the back just in case. She pottyed at Dairy Queen, HEB (twice in 1 trip) Chick-fil-A, Panera Bread, Ashley Furniture Store, and Grandma and Grandpa's house. She was very excited to use the "big" potty at all these places, she just didn't like the the "very loud flush" at chick-fil-a. We did have to use the potty on the side of the road several times....we just pulled right over immediately at the little voice saying "mommy i need to go potty".....of course instantly the car pulls over. She sits on the potty like such a big girl with her hands over her ears the whole time because the cars speeding by at 70mph are loud to her. So such an adventure. I would have loved to take a picture but I thought that might be a little invasion of my sweet little girls privacy, so I'll just cherish the memory. So cute.
So during all this potty training business, I've come to a conclusion. I know that some children are ready to be potty trained early, some even as young as 18mos from what I hear (Yeah for those kids and parents)....but I have decided, I am not the one that needs to be trained to take my precious one to the potty every 30min....once they're older and can tell me they need to go...MUCH EASIER. Hannah tells me every time she has to go, I think we've had only 2 accidents in like a week and a half. I was so nervous about this whole thing and it really hasn't been bad at all. We'll tackle the nap time/night time issue later, she still wears pull-ups for sleeping. So thanks for thinking of us, I love to hear your comments.

Potty Training...task completed!
Ok, so for those that have potty trained in the past...way to go to you parents! This is something that well basically I had been avoiding, kinda dreading....I thought I'm already busy enough, how in the world am I going to do this. Well, it all starts on this past Friday morning. Hannah woke up, came to our room, got in our bed. I checked her PJ's to make sure they were dry (sometimes her diaper leaks at night)..yep all dry, so she gets in our bed, then she says "Mommy, my diaper is soaking wet"...I check her and she leaked EVERYWHERE...all of her clothes, all on OUR SHEETS...yuck. So I thought, today is the day. We went to Wal-Mart, got a pretty pink potty with a cushioned seat...and I was ready to go.
We got home about 11am, she said I need to go 'tee-tee"...she sat down and she really went!! This was the first time she'd gone potty at the house where I actually witnessed it. We did the potty dance, high fived, took pictures and everything. She proceeded to go 4 more times by like 3pm. So...we put on a pull-up and went with it. I didn't really know what to do...diapers at nap time and night time, pull-ups during the day, when do I do panties??? So for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we did pull-ups. It was kinda hard because we went to Victoria one evening, and went to Chilis, and she totally didn't want to go in that big potty with the LOUD flush. Sunday, I told the nursery workers my plan, she pottyed 3 times during church....such a BIG GIRL!
So today, Monday, I thought, we're going straight to panties...no more diapers, no more pull-ups. Oh and just for those that want to know, she has pooped in the potty 3 times. Once yesterday, and twice today. WHOA....I had always heard that that was kinda the hardest part. So I'm pumped. So, back to today....she has done excellent....no accidents yet. She's pottyed like 9 times so far. I made a sticker chart (idea from the Spiveys)...I set it up where I ask her if she needs to go EVERY 30 MINUTES...we go sit, and if she goes she gets a little start sticker (and an M&M). She loves it.
So it gets to nap time....I'm thinking, is this a huge mistake.....do I leave her in panties?? I'm prepared, I can clean up a mess. I put her to sleep in panties, after about 15min she gets up and says "Mommy I need to go tee-tee"....we go sit, she GOES, and we go back to bed. YEAH! Is this too good to be true. I'm hoping it stays this easy. She is doing a great job. Tomorrow she will be exactly 2yrs and 8mos old....so I thought it must be about time.
So for those out there...keep praying that this will be a success, I'm prepared to take her pretty pink potty wherever we go if I have to. I'd love to have just one baby in diapers atleast for awhile. I'd also like the slight increase in our finances : )
Pictures to follow soon (tasteful ones I promise).
