My Family, I love them!

Ok, so these are my precious children. I was thinking of all the special things about birth order, and well Hannah is definitely the leader of the bunch. But she is a leader in such a loving way, she is really motherly. She gives Caleb pretty much whatever he wants, which in the long run I'm not real sure how and what he's learning from that. Does he figure he can just whine and he'll get whatever he wants, well at this point in life yes...she'd rather him be happy then hear him scream. Well and on the other hand, she gets to dress him as she pleases. So for today, I put them in the car, ran back inside to get something, came back out and well there you go, Caleb had his princess crown on and was loving his baby. I then ran back inside again to get my camera. So I tried to gently remove these items, and that was NOT HAPPENING. So we rode around town with my princess Hannah and well Caleb too.

Napping, well atleast they pretended really well.

Ok so we used to be big into gardening, at our house in Waco we had tons of flowers, tomatoes, okra, squash, greenbeans, pumpkins, and well we loved it. Jeremy actually gets all the credit, he does all the work, preparation, and I just water every now and then. Since we've sorta been on the move, we haven't had one in 2yrs, well this year we're starting up again. For now we have flowers and tomatoes. Jeremy is letting the kids plant seeds for starters....they thought this was SO fun. Caleb just really wanted to get in all the dirt, even though his sandbox was a few feet away, he wanted "this" dirt.

My boys!

Hannah trying to teach, Ok, so I've loosened up a little and have let the kids play at the "activity table" together a little more. They can color, paint, and do play-doh together. For a long time, I feel like Hannah doesn't get to do much because Caleb gets into all her stuff and tears it up, so I always say, "we'll play that later when he's asleep", well and then she naps then too, so not much time EVER. Anyway, Hannah mainly does the painting (watercolor), and maybe this week I'll really let Caleb do play-doh. I just don't like messes, on the floor or on them. I know they're kids and I want them to enjoy life to the fullest which means, they're gonna make a mess. So I figure, let them have fun, it will wash off, and I can clean it up. Hear Hannah is reinforcing important points, she says "Caleb, NO Sir, you color ON the paper". I remind her that he doesn't just already know that and he is learning and so she has to teach him. So we're working on being nice and not yelling at him.

Ahhhh...one of my favorite times of the day. Caleb is a great napper....always has been. Just put him in bed and he pretty much goes to sleep, for like 2-3hrs in the afternoon. Hannah, probably 3wks ago got into this deal of not wanting to nap anymore. I mean I really tried. So I make her this palate on the floor now, she has "quiet time" in her room, she can read, color, play with her dollhouse or go to sleep. She has to stay IN her room. For the first week seriously she didn't nap at all, just played for almost 2hrs. She would come out periodically, I'd send her back. Now, the playing usually only lasts about 10min, and then she crashes. She'll still comes out, but I say you have to rest, cover her up and she goes to sleep....YEAH!!! I will inforce naps and quiet time as LONG as I can. So now for naps she refuses to get in her bed, she has to be on her yellow palate with her pink blanket and covered up with her princess blanket. Very specific, so you'd better do it right. Atleast she's napping, we also got her a clock in the hopes of teaching her she can come out at "such and such time". Well, no such luck, she likes to change the numbers etc. We'll keep trying.
